classic chimichurri sauce

Ingredients
sauce
3/4 cup
North Shore Living Herbs® parsley
3/4 cup
North Shore Living Herbs® cilantro
3/4 cup
olive oil
1/4 cup
red wine vinegar
4 cloves
garlic
1 tsp
red pepper flakes
1 tsp
salt
1 tsp
pepper
steak
1 lb
skirt steak, fat trimmed
salt and pepper
Time to cook 20 minutes, serves 4 servings
This classic sauce is delicious on so many things, but our favorite is a nice steak. Try our recipe for your new favorite sauce!

Combine all the ingredients for this classic chimichurri sauce in a food processor. Pulse for about 10-15 seconds, until just combined but not smooth. Transfer to a container and set aside.

steak:

Preheat your grill (or indoor grill pan) over high heat and brush with olive oil. Season the steak with salt and pepper. Grill on each side for about 5-6 minutes or until it reaches an internal temperature of 135°F for medium rare. Transfer to a cutting board and allow to rest for 5 minutes. After the steak has rested, slice it against the grain into 1/2 inch slices. Serve topped with chimichurri sauce.

Tip: There is really no bad way to enjoy this sauce, but try serving tortillas or potatoes with your steak and sauce! Enjoy!
